Who We Are
White County Family Connection is a community coalition that brings schools, nonprofits, faith partners, businesses, and local agencies together to improve outcomes for children and families. We align resources, share data, and coordinate action—so families get help sooner, gaps close faster, and every child has a real chance to thrive here at home.
Our Mission
White County Family Connection exists to improve the well-being of families through a collaborative system of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual supports.
Our Vision
By partnering with other organizations, volunteers and community leaders, White County Family Connection envisions a community where all children are healthy, primed for school and succeed when they get there, and where strong families contribute to vibrant, robust communities that thrive.
Our History
White County Family Connection is part of Georgia’s statewide Family Connection network—159 county collaboratives launched in 1991 to improve child and family well-being. In White County, partners began working under the Family Connection umbrella in 1997, convening schools, agencies, nonprofits, and faith groups to align resources and close service gaps.
Over the years, White County Family Connection has coordinated planning, convened task forces around urgent local needs, and advocated for system improvements. Today, White County Family Connection operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit collaborative, continuing to connect partners and empower the community to craft local, data-informed solutions for children and families.
How We Work
- Collaborative by Design: We convene cross-sector partners to plan together and act together.
- Data-Informed: We use local and state KIDS COUNT data and school/agency input to set priorities and measure progress.
- Family-Centered: We listen first, reduce barriers, and focus on practical solutions that respect people’s time and dignity.
- Accountable & Transparent: Shared goals, clear roles, and outcome tracking guide our investments and programs.
